RB3 Coal (Middleburg, South Africa)

Reliable thermal coal suited for industrial energy use and export markets. RB3 offers a cost-effective fuel option while meeting established quality specifications.

Anthracite Coal Duff Product (Eswatini)

Sourced from high-rank anthracite deposits in Eswatini, this product stream provides a high carbon, low-impurity coal variant used in specialized industrial processes, metallurgy, and other markets where high energy density and cleaner combustion are valued.

(Anthracite typically has higher fixed carbon and lower volatile matter than bituminous coal.)

Regional Footprint & Logistics

The Coal Division operates sourcing and marketing activities centered in South Africa’s major coal belts, with Middleburg being a core production base. The division also sources value coal products from the broader Southern African region including anthracite streams from Eswatini to diversify its product offering.
